On Friday, April 18,food trucks will be on the west block of Georgia Street for Food Truck Friday. There will be several food trucks on the south side of the street. Eastbound Georgia Street between Capitol Avenue and Illinois Street will be closed to traffic 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
For these events, please plan your travel through Downtown accordingly. There may be parking and sidewalk restrictions for some of the events.
Friday, April 18, through Sunday, April 20, Michigan Street between Capitol and Senate avenues will be closed to dismantle and remove a construction crane. The closure will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and the street will reopen by 11 p.m. Sunday.
Through late August, motorists will notice lane restrictions in the Downtown area for Citizens Energy Group to take soil and rock samples for the future construction of the Lower Pogues Run Tunnel, part of the DigIndy Tunnel system. (DigIndyTunnel.com) The lane restrictions will last for approximately two weeks per street. Only one lane will be restricted at a time and no street will be closed entirely for this work. The work will occur in the area between Market and McCarty streets.
