On Wednesday, Oct. 1, Firefighters Local 416 will host the Reading of the Names on Massachusetts Avenue, an annual ceremony to honor fallen firefighters. Massachusetts Avenue between Park and College avenues will be closed from 11:15 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Indy Do Day activities will take place Thursday-Saturday, October 2-4. Indy Do Day is a people-powered community day of service when the residents of Indianapolis take ownership of their neighborhoods and take care of their neighbors. There are no scheduled street closures for the activities, but motorists are advised to watch for people working in the right of way and slow down when traveling through these areas.
On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3 and 4, food trucks will be on the west block of Georgia Street for Indy Fall Fest. Eastbound Georgia Street between Capitol Avenue and Illinois Street will be closed to traffic 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. each day.
On Friday, Oct. 3, the Circle City Classic Pep Rally will be held on Monument Circle. The south half of Monument Circle will be closed from 3 - 8 p.m. for this event.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, the annual Circle City Classic Parade will take place on Pennsylvania, Ohio and Meridian streets 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The streets along the parade route will close at 7 a.m. for set up with dismantling complete and streets opened by 3 p.m. The parade route is as follows:
• Parade begins on Pennsylvania Street at North Street
• South on Pennsylvania Street to Ohio Street
• West on Ohio Street to Meridian Street
• North on Meridian Street to North Street
On Saturday, Oct. 4, the Circle City Classic football game takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium beginning at 3 p.m. South Street from Capitol Avenue to Missouri Street will be closed 5 a.m. - 2 a.m. for the Circle City Classic Tailgate.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, Emmis Communications will host the Bud Light Tailgate on the west block of Georgia Street. The event will include vendors, food, music and a beer garden. Georgia Street between Illinois Street and Capitol Avenue will be closed to traffic approximately 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. for this event.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, Lucas Oil Stadium will be the site of the Indianapolis Colts game vs. the Baltimore Ravens at 1 p.m. South Street between Capitol Avenue and West Street will be closed approximately 5 a.m. - 6 p.m.
For these events, please plan your travel through Downtown accordingly. There will be parking and sidewalk restrictions for some of the events.
