Direction Downtown
Direction Downtown is a comprehensive sign system that makes it even easier to
find your way around Downtown Indianapolis! A project of the City of Indianapolis and Indianapolis
Downtown, Inc., the program divides Downtown Indianapolis into four easy-to-navigate quadrants:
NorthEast Quad, NorthWest Quad, SouthEast Quad and Southwest Quad. The 200 signs indicate
what quad you or the attractions are in to facilitate ease of travel.
The easy-to-recognize red, white, and blue signs identify 42 Downtown
attractions such as the Indiana Historical
Society, Circle Centre, White River State Park, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Victory
Field and more. Colored bands direct you to the six cultural districts. Eight illuminated kiosks with maps help you find your way
around town at night. Distinctive interstate signs help guide drivers from
the highways and through the streets Downtown. |
