To improve Downtown cleanliness by increasing coordination among private and public resources.
Goals
- Improve the perception of Downtown public safety by keeping streets and properties clean and litter-free.
- Increase economic vibrancy by providing a clean, healthy environment.
- Gain commitment of all Downtown property owners in the Partnership.
- Educate partners to the cleaning standards of a 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year Downtown.
- Adhere to common cleaning standards for properties.
- Empower Cleaning Advisory Committee to create and review program success.
- Focus City efforts on IndyGo bus shelter/stops, newsboxes, and event clean ups.

IDI Cleaning Programs
Spring Clean Up - Periodic clean-ups organized with volunteers and the business
community in response to seasonal weather changes and major events.
Trustees - Marion County jail trustees pick up litter a minimum of 2 days per month.
Clean & Green Gator and Technician - Maintain 4 gateway gardens, 191 flower planters, and
monitors litter pick-up to keep Downtown clean and beautiful.
Cleaning Partnership - Improves coordination of public and private sector cleaning efforts.
Current membership includes 174 partners representing 671 properties.
